Tami:

My myofascial physical therapist does massage to that area as it is an inner

tuberosity to the Sacral Iliac Joint. I have Sacral Iliac Syndrome which is

explained here and sounds like what you have :

Patients often experience pain in the lower back or the back of the hips. Pain

may also be present in the groin and thighs. In many cases, it can be difficult

to determine the exact source of the pain. Your physician can perform specific

tests to help isolate the source of the pain. This is from :

http://www.medicinenet.com/sacroiliac_joint_pain

You can read up on it , it is called sacral iliac joint dysfunction also, and

the sciatic nerve is close to that and that is where the thigh pain comes from.

My physical therapist diagnosed and my sacral iliac joint was misaligned at the

time and this last time my pubic area where I had fallen on my butt got out of

align and when she aligned it, I felt such relief. I had this before I fell and

it can exist from other reasons besides injuries.

My therapist measures the alignment of my sacral joints, leg length, and does

hand on exam and always puts her finger on the place that is the pain generator.

I do not go to a chiropractor and this myofascial physical therapist does gentle

manipulation and there is no pushing and pulling. I have my own home exercises I

do to keep it corrected. Hope this helps. Bennie

Wow thanks so much Bennie for the information. I am going to check it out. I

just had my yearly blood work done and everything was normal so my potassium

level is normal.

Thanks again and gentle hugs, Tami :)
