I am sure that you would have to go to a experienced hospital that deals with forward thinking situations and it has to deal with identifying if it is the hardware, the bone fusing and growing, and the healing process. Doctors do not like going back in as the situations that revisions cause sometimes cause worse problems than the original problems. Once bones heal, even incorrectly, they will leave them, rather than risking redoing the process and the bone not healing at all. I know with my fusion they wanted me to create friction as it stimulates the bone to heal. I believe nutrition, increased blood flow, and good health in your body helps to produce healing correctly. Can you get referrals for physical therapy (hydrothereapy) to increase blood flow, heat and compresses, low impact exercises, a Nutritionist, and supplements to stimulate bone growth? I hope for you , less pain and good healing. These therapies are needed no matter what they decide to do. I typed in femur surgery re do's and there were many articles and forums that came up, also femur non healing provided a good search.
