Guest guest
Do you have any other options? Killing off nerves seems like something that should be kept as a last resort. The fact that you tried it before with such negative results makes me think it is probably not the best option. I know a lot of doctors force their patients into stuff like this because they make a lot of money off procedures and are usually afraid of using opioids because they are uneducated about them. What else have you tried? Have you tried an intrathecal pump? What oral meds have you tried? Before you go through with this procedure, please consider getting a second opinion. Guest guest
, Did they do the test part first about two weeks prior to your ablation? Guest guest
My doctor told me there is a chance that the nerve can grow back in about a year and could need to have the ablation again. But, I am only in the testing phase. Ellen-Staying Strong
Guest guest
Hi there, Been awhile I know. I have had no surgeries, just an MRI and some Xrays. Now I don't want Radio Frequency either, the way it sounds. I know everyone is different. I am still without a doctor on the Oregon coast that will take chronic pain patients. I know the routine. I am just looking for relief and not sure what my Oregon insurance will pay. Yes, I have been stuck for awhile. I got a lead the other day that I will call this week. I have a hard time explaining myself too I guess. I am so tired of being disabled and limping, hurting, not being able to do much or go much anywhere because of the pain in my lower back /hips/legs - ugh! It seems my OHP Plus won't pay and the better docs are inland. I just get so frustrated. Got to get back into life and be more mobile, without all this pain that is. I am going on 49y ears young. Shhhh. lol I want to do things, regular things, darn it. Hugs all around, Coleen :/
Guest guest
I definitely won't have it done again! I am ok with the medication change I just had. That will be enough for now for me! in CA Lyndi wrote: If that happened to me with a radio frequency treatment, I'd never get one again either! The relief of the physical symptoms - in my case, one type of head pain and a specific neck pain - is immediate. If it weren't, I would never subject myself to such an invasive procedure.
