Christy,

The members of this group held me together while I was going through what you

are now dealing with. I could not have made it without them One member e mailed

me privately information on how to file for FMLA (Family Leave Act), how not to

let my work discriminate, the Labor laws, and other things to start doing to

prepare for my disability. Without that and the group support here and their

ideas and experiences I would have been crying more than I did.

I actually looked forward to and still do every day to post when I

am bed ridden as I learn something and can hopefully at least encourage someone.

That is something we all need and I hope your Doctors visits go well and I am

hoping I find out why I have old

lady arms ( bleeding underneath the skin) where I used to not get

if my dog scratched me . The appointment is with an immunologist and want to see

if there is something I can get to boost my immune system.

Anyone do this and can you tell me the process and if I have asked this before,

please forgive me, and just tell me again, I won't be offended.

Lyndi, could you also tell what you said about your Doctor letting your

arthritis fuse some vertebrae (is that what you wrote or could you tell me that

again and I will save it).

Good Luck Christi, you know how cats are, mine will snob me and then he sticks

to my leg for attention when my husband is not home on time. He has imprinted on

my husband as the cat gets up early with him and the dogs sleep in with me and

stay up at night . Our cat has been very needy since he had that bladder

stoppage and we took him and got it taken care of. He should appreciate me

letting him have a litter box in our laundry room !

I just cleaned it for " his majesty " and got a extra large covered one with vents

so I don't have to look at it so he should feel like a " king " . The dogs can't

get and get any kitty treats either ; (

Cat owners understand that one. So all the fur kids are taken care of and yes

Christy, animals do sense our stress and emotions, my cat hides, my dogs come

check on me.

So all animals are different. Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

* My muscle relaxant was tiazidine (xanaflex) and I remembered going off it so

that is why I mentioned the things I did.

Bennie,

I just recently had blood under the skin with two minor cat scratches and they

seem to be getting bigger. Old Lady Arms is what you called it. I 'm 56 and

don't think it's normal. Simple bruising from weak capillaries that look like

bruises I see on people who are getting up there in age. I have red raised areas

of blood just under the skin. Which are you talking about?
