Eight regular Tylenol (acetaminophen)is 325mg. So 8 doses would total

2,600mg a day.

I probably know more about taking Tylenol than the average person as I had a

liver transplant so my Tylenol dosage has been up and down over the years. With

a decently functioning liver, even with a lot of other meds my doctor allows me

8 regular Tylenol a day. That's a lot, folks, but he says it's safer than a lot

of things. That's from a liver transplant doctor.

I was just saying today, I'd rather they took away my opiates than my Tylenol.

Well, I'd rather they didn't take away anything but you get my point. Can't live

without it and the opiates don't seem to work as well without it.

Carolyn,

4,500 is the maxium so you are not harming yourself and as with anything, it is

what works for you and makes you more functional. I can tell the difference

when I asked for the break thru without Tylenol but can add if I need. I agree

with you. Just so people get their labs checked and mine have been normal.

Yeah,m, I have labs done monthly for my liver anyway so he says he'll know if

anything is going haywire. I just thought it was interesting what a healthy

liver can do. But even before the transplant I was allowed 4 per day.
