Dear colleagues

We commemorate December 1st as World AIDS Day and re-iterate our resolve to

unite in the fight against HIV. The theme for this year's World AIDS Day is

" Leadership " under the slogan " Stop AIDS, Keep the Promise " .

World AIDS Day Commemorations <http://www.worldaidsday.org.in/>

(www.worldaidsday.org.in <http://www.worldaidsday.org.in/> ) is a

participatory space, where organizers can directly provide details of

the event they are organizing. You will be happy to know that to

encourage commemorations in remote areas, we have designed the site to

aggregate and display events even at the block level.

This will help:

- Learning from each other

- Publicity, for greater participation

- Providing opportunities for leveraging the event for value addition and

clubbing more activities

- Identifying areas of low activity to plan interventions and a bigger

mobilization in future

We request you to upload events / activities that you are planning or

will be involved in for World AIDS Day commemorations. Following the

World AIDS Day Commemorations, please post photos, brief reports etc. by

December 10th. When uploading photos, kindly remember to include

captions.

UNAIDS will felicitate the best entries and photographs and with your

permission, include some of them in publications and publicity material, with

due credits.

We look forward to campaigning with you in the fight against HIV.

With best regards

Ranjan
