Guest guest Posted August 15, 2002 Report Share Posted August 15, 2002 hello pat, I also had problems with my kidney, my urinalysis says albumin is present in my urine, that means the albumin is escaping thru my kidney because i think it has some holes, red blood cells are also present in my urine, about 3-5/HPF, i also experience back pain especially after eating salty foods Jerome, What is the doctor doing about that? I'm on Hyzaar to protect the kidneys, but my last blood test showed protein in my urine, so the doctor wants to do more blood tests. I've been putting off the tests, but I've decided I have to take them. I've noticed a little pain in the kidney area lately... I worry about being on a low carb diet, as I probably have a little more protein than I should. Yet, I'm not really eating high protein, and the carbs would cause me even more problems. Guest guest Posted August 16, 2002 Report Share Posted August 16, 2002 They said that I have to drink at least 3 litres of water a day, coconut juice will also help, and I think banana too have good effect for the kidney, the doctor also gave me some antibiotics. Jerome, Thanks :-) I already drink a lot of water, and I'll check the carbs on coconut juice... do you mean canned coconut milk? I think there's some without sugar added.
