Good Morning,

Just want to tell the group that I've found the second drug that has worked well

for my pain. The first was Ultram ER which my body eventually synthesized in 7

months. The good thing was that this was my second time taking the drug so it

proved I could go off of it for a period of time and go back to it and it would

still work. The first two months of use I had NO PAIN.

So I'm in my 5th year of pain and I've been using my spinal cord stimulator with

mixed results.

I'm now on a patch called Butrans. Came off of Cymbalta which didn't work well

anyway. The Butrans patches come in 5, 10,and 20mg strength. I use Oxycodone if

the pain becomes bad but since increasing from 5 to 10mg's on the patches the

pain is pretty much gone. Or at least it's at a 2-3 out of 10 at it's highest

point which I consider gone. The real test will be going back to work and adding

stress to my routine.

I'm sure these things will be difficult to come off of one day if they stop

working but I'm just happy to have some nice days again that I can enjoy.
