I'm sorry you've been unable to get out. I'm really not a social being so I

don't have much to offer in the way of advice. If you have a religious belief,

that can be a source of strength. Do you get any pain relief from medications or

devices? I couldn't function at all without my pain medications.

There could be some depression standing in your way. With pain often comes

depression and anxiety. I didn't realize how much anxiety I was living with till

I began therapy for my depression. Once I got on a good antidepressant for me

and had several sessions with my therapist I decided to go to group therapy for

chronic pain and one for depression. I was getting out of the house 3 days a

week for these and it saved me. Well, gave me incentive to help myself more than

I thought I could.

Try not to feel defeated, you haven't pulled out all your options from your bag

of tricks.

There are many of us with similar situations...unable to plan ahead yet

sane enough to know we need to interact with other people.

This is a great group and I'm glad you found it. Sharing your concerns

with others who understand, from experience and not theory, makes a huge

difference.
