Guest guest
That's such horrid luck. Did the person tell you what areas he was working on and why? This could clue you in on something going on in one or more of your organs. I love my feet massaged but they are so painful that all I can stand is a very gentle, warm touch. >Shell wrote: > >Hi all. Nothing is working. I guess the reflexology which is just massage, set off the fibro again. I am at my wits end. See rheumatologist Wed. I hope I make it until then. Any suggestions? Guest guest
Not saying that FM is mental, trust me I would never say that. But are you on any anti-depressants or anxiety meds? If you feel out of control and anxious as well as having mood swings then you need to be on something to stabilize you.  Paxil has been a lifesaver for my anxiety. I am on only 1mg of Klonopin and it keeps me calm. I also take trazadone and seroquil for sleep and mood stabilization. You might not need all of that, I have a lot of problems. But you have to be willing to admit that there is a problem. Posting here was a step in the right direction. I would look up all kinds of different mental problems and see if they have checklists. If what you are going through is on the list, take it with you to the doctor. Hope this helps. I have done everything from readjusting my spinal chord stimulators to taking 800 mg of ibuprofen. I rested, stretched, walked in the water. I started feeling a little better so I treated myself to a reflexology foot massage. Felt delightful at the time. OMG! I haven't slept, cried, fought with my husband. I am a mess. Nothing is working. I guess the reflexology which is just massage, set off the fibro again. I am at my wits end. See rheumatologist Wed. I hope I make it until then. Any suggestions? Guest guest
All, You can download a reflexology map yourself and have them prevent those areas. I take Benadryl for sleep and it is not heavy. I just use warm heat on mine. Warm bathes help me. I don't think the massage did it but readjusting the stimulator might have. Fibromyalgia is aggravated when you don't get sleep. So get your sleep adjusted first and if you can sleep eight hours I believe that might help.
