Guest guest
Had a bypass (3-vessel) back in December, and I continue to have problems. Wonder if anyone can offer some input that might help me. Initially, my cardiothoracic surgeon said he'd be doing 4 grafts, but after surgery, I found out he did 3. Don't know why; didn't question him at the time. Trusted him, figured there was a good reason. A week after my bypass, I had to have another stent. (Surprise, surprise...) Two weeks ago, I had angina yet again: one of my grafts had occluded, and I had yet another blockage, requiring two stents then. Now even a couple of days ago, I had another bad episode of angina. My cardiologist says that I just have bad arteries; today he says it's basically just in my genes. Have an excellent rapport with him, and I trust him, but I can't help but wonder how so much plaque can develop in such a short timespan. Btw, I religiously take my Effient, quit smoking two years ago, and watch my cholesterol (LDL still a little high though), so compliance isn't an issue. Help!!
