FHI is seeking passionate and committed professionals for the Strategic Director position for Balasahyoga programme to be implemented with the Clinton Foundation (CF) and CARE/ India in Andhra Pradesh with support from The Children Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). The Balasahyoga programme aims to provide 30,000 HIV affected households (60,000 HIV infected and affected children and adults) with comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment services in 11 districts in Andhra Pradesh. Ability to work in a team, excellent oral and written and verbal communication skills in English and computer proficiency is essential. Prior exposure to HIV/AIDS or Health sector related work desirable. Ability to travel up to 50 % of time is essential. Strategic Director The Strategic Director is a senior manager with responsibility for providing management and technical oversight of the Balasahyoga programme in the 11 districts to ensure that the project is effectively and efficiently implemented. The Strategic Director will provide leadership, management oversight, and technical direction to the project, supervise technical and programme staff, and liaise with government officials, partners, and donors in close collaboration with the programme teams. S/he will report to a senior management team comprised of directors from the three consortium member organizations: FHI, CF and CARE-India. In addition, the Strategic Director will be responsible to organize the work of managers from these three organizations and the Andhra Pradesh government in order to ensure that the programme is coordinated and that all parties are working together towards a common goal. Desired Profile Master in Social Work/Master in public health or related field and 7- 9 years relevant experience with international development programs and includes 3-5 years of supervisory experience, overseas field experience required; or PhD/MD or equivalent degree and 5-7 years relevant experience. Strong programme manager with an impressive record of success in implementing complicated projects or programmes with multiple stakeholders; Experience in developing, monitoring and managing a budget; Hindi and Telugu language ability preferred. Compensation Compensation levels at FHI are equivalent to market rates within the development sector. However, offers shall be based on salary history, relevant experience and qualifications.
