Guest guest Posted January 1, 2003 Report Share Posted January 1, 2003 Carol, I think it's interesting that your son does better as far as appetite with Concerta than Ritalin and Adderall. Concerta is a form of Ritalin- it's just an extended release form. My son did poorly on both as far as appetite. He has, however, been taking Periactin for sometime and it has helped with is appetite. I have on a supplement called Omega 3 for his ADHD and it's also used for many other Neuro/Psych. issues including depression and BI polar. He takes 3000 mg's a day and it has helped tremendously. He went from struggling in school big time to getting all A's and 1 B in school this past semester and he was in the National Geographic Bee for his school and he won.
