school: How do you manage? I could really use any tips I can possibly get. Some

of them might really help me. Same thing for those of you who work. And

especially those of you who have chronic neck/back pain--myofascial pain in

particular, which is what (my doctor's say that) mine is--but any kind of pain,

really (we are all in pain, that's why we're here on the list together). Anyone

who manages to sit at a desk all day, reading or working, *how* do you do it?

,

I learned all the mnemonic techniques I could.

us.com/memory/mnemonic_techniques.htm is a good website. The series " Where there

is a will there is an A " is on of the best secrets I found to help me with

learning. I also used tape recorder for notes and you could probably get one of

those magnifier you can put over page by page to help with the eye strain.

Yellow or Blue plastic covers also helps and teacher resource stores have them.

Most of these textbook companies have a companion CD or you can go to their

website and the textbook will be online with study tips, flash cards etc.

Prentice Hall and Pearson are just some examples if you want to check it out.

I ended up having to get an eye drop prescription, Pataday, that helped me the

best. I don't know if that would help you. When I was taking my graduate

teaching curriculum and going to seminars, the best one was " Knowing Your

Student's Learning Styles " and techniques to enhance them.

Singing things you need to know is actually a great way to learn subject

material. I came up with some really catchy tunes. None that would make the top

ten though.

You might just have to look for taller chair for your desk. I always did my

homework in the bed with a lap tray. Those are just some things I did

and being able to magnify what I had to read or listened to the notes helped me.

I hope the best for you.

I don't know how I did it and came out with a 4.0 GPA with my chronic pain, my

Mother dying and me doing my internship at the same time, I just was a Zombie

but got good reviews.

Just give yourself breaks and sing some ditties. Good Luck. Do those travel

neck pillows help your neck?

My husband got me one to sleep on and guess who claimed it? Yes, my Alpha dog,

Rose the " terror terrier " but looks so cute curling her head inside it. She

also tries to hog some of my heating pad. What we do for who we love .

Here is the website for " colored paper clear overlays "
