Guest guest
Hi, I'm new here. My name is . I have some moderate chronic pain in my feet, but it is managed well with medication. I'm here mainly to learn how to support my husband, Todd. He has degenerative disc disease and has terrible pain, every minute of every day. This condition came on very quickly. Just three years ago he was able bodied; now he's retired on disability at 48 years old, can't work or do any of the activities he used to enjoy. He has lost his sense of self and is stuck in the deep pit of depression. Our marriage has reached the crisis point - either things change or we are not going to make it. We are both now trying to adapt to our new reality. For me, that means I need to better understand what he's going through, how to support him, and when to just give him a good kick in the @ss! With that limited amount of info, any advice is appreciated! However, I'm mainly going to start here by reading, reading, and reading some more! Thank you for being here!
