You need to get a prescription for a Home Health Agency to send a Nurse out weekly to check on you and manage your pump and medications. They did this for my Dad and that is why you have to have a case manager assigned to you. This way the Nurse can call and manage these problems and not you. This borders on criminal. It would be the insurance who is not processing and they need to tell you the reason why as Actiq can be sent in mail. My insurance company did this on me ONCE and then I said I wanted it in my records so they did not hold it every month because they think it is too high dose and understand why I get one dose mid day. Good Luck and I ranted with you in another e mail and it explains why this happens. Once they got this down, they left me alone. My justifications are good for a year but check how long you pre-authorizations and justification are good for. Good luck. Bennie
