Guest guest
I read about using DMSO for migrains due to my Mother having them so bad that she would have to pull the shades and go to bed for the rest of the day...and sometimes stay there for another day or 2 I about and got her some DMS and told her how and when to apply it to the back of her neck. She did it...and within 1 & 1/2 months she never got another migrain again That was about 6 years ago. --- In , " haecklers " <haecklers@...> wrote: > > I've been interested in DMSO lately, mainly because it can pull other > supplements in through the skin that usually need to be injected, like > B12 vitamin. Guest guest
I was told on the DMSO group that MSM gets rid of ganglion cysts even faster than DMSO. Just now I'm experiencing incredibly clear sinuses for this time of year, clearer head, doing better at waste-of-time computer games than ever, and crackling in my neck where lyme gave me arthritis. I thought I was recovered from lyme and hadn't had much problem in the neck for years but it was still a little stiff (felt I couldn't turn it as far as I used to be able to) so maybe I had some calcifications there that the DMSO is loosening - I've read it does get rid of calcifications. Neat. BTW, the clear head thing is very similar to what I experienced while fasting and now I wonder if the hydroxyl radicals were the cause of the " not clear head " - that both fasting and DMSO were clearing them. I've also found that GABA can be transmitted across the blood-brain barrier when mixed with DMSO, which is neat. DS is having sleep problems and I've made him a mix of it to get before bedtime. Since DMSO acts as a solvent on cellulose, you can put tablets of supplements in a dropper bottle of DMSO solution and in about 2 days they will be dissolved and the supplement will be in solution with the DMSO, ready to be absorbed through the skin. > > > > I've been interested in DMSO lately, mainly because it can pull > other > > supplements in through the skin that usually need to be injected, > like > > B12 vitamin. Guest guest
OK so I'm finally hooked. What is MSM? DMSO? Too many things to follow so didn't read. Sorry. A link? Garnet talks about CMO for arthritis - Cetyl Myristoleate - she is SO interesting! > that both fasting and DMSO were clearing them. It is an awesome thing. I've used it to dissolve a Morton's Neuroma on the bottom of my foot - it takes the pain away and shrinks the swelling. We also have a bottle of it with B12 dissolved into it. We use it for backaches and it does double duty. Recently I've been reading about how it can cure/help with COPD when used in a nebulizer. I've had asthma my entire life - raw milk helped tremendously, but even if I swig a teaspoon of DMSO with 6oz. of beet kvass, my lungs seem to clear for several days. Applying directly to the chest helps too, but I'm a little squeamish about inhaling it. > I've also found that GABA can be transmitted across the blood-brain > barrier when mixed with DMSO, which is neat. Very cool indeed! I'm so doing that one. -vanessa
Guest guest
MSM and DMSO are chemically related compounds that both have effects to lessen pain, increase bloodflow, decrease blood clotting, increase tissue health. MSM is Methylsulfonylmethane and DMSO is dimethyl sulfoxide. Some say MSM is naturally made in healthy bodies by the liver, and both are available in small quantities from a variety of plants. DMSO neutralizes hydroxyl and other free radicals allowing them to be excreted by the kidneys. It also increases cell wall permeability, allowing the cells to better excrete their toxins and function better. When combined with nutritional supplements, DMSO can transport them, through the skin (without causing damage to it) into the tissues and even crosses the blood/brain barrier. So, for instance, it can carry GABA directly into the brain to calm hyperactivity or anxiety. DMSO has also been shown to prevent radiation injuries during radiation treatment. It is applied to the surrounding area where it is absorbed into the tissues. In trials, very few of the test subjects treated with DMSO then given radiation from cancer got radiation burns or tissue damage from the radiation while controls did. There are also reports of people with non-healing sores, like from diabetes or bedsores that have lasted for years, responding to DMSO and their sores healing within a month of daily applications of DMSO and vitamin E. And reports of people with phantom pain and other types of pain reporting an end of the pain after 3 days of IV DMSO treatments. And I think I shared here the article I came across about DMSO possibly being a cure for crohns and colitis? http://www.newtreatments.org/dmso.php They have too many " cures " to be believed by some experts, but a lot of them are actually well-documented. One of the coolest is that if given in IV to someone with a spinal cord injury within 90 min. of the injury, the person is likely to not be paralyzed - in an injury that normally would create paralysis. There is a lot of evidence they help with arthritis, migraines, burns, and things like stiff back from old injuries. Some doctors even claimed it helped infants with Down's Syndrome become smarter and grow facial features that don't look like Down's Syndrome. Still, very little information is available in general on the internet, most of it has to be from specific searches like " DMSO autism " or " MSM fibromyalgia " . > > I read about using DMSO for migrains due to my Mother having them so > bad that she would have to pull the shades and go to bed for the > rest of the day...and sometimes stay there for another day or 2 > > I about and got her some DMS and told her how and when to apply it > to the back of her neck. Guest guest
www.myvitanet.com has several to choose from. I opted for the one in the glass bottle as it is a solvent. > > > > > > I've been interested in DMSO lately, mainly because it can pull > > other > > > supplements in through the skin that usually need to be injected, > > like > > > B12 vitamin. Guest guest
The best explanation of liver function for the laity I have read is in ph Pizzorno and Murray's Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine: http://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Natural-Medicine-Revised-Second/dp/076 1511571 I don't own it, so I can't give you a citation. It's a great read. I can't remember all the clicking minutae. . . .his sensitivity to chemicals has increased greatly of late. Guest guest
In my youth, friends used dmso for transdermal application of recreational substances. . . .they crossed into the blood brain barrier just fine. one time they tried to compare putting lsd in the mouth and in the eye and on the skin with dmso, but got to high to figure out which was more effective. . . . desh ____________________________________________________________ Live the good life!
