Have you had to deal with medication-induced paranoia with anxiety and panic

attacks?

If so, other than stopping the medication, is there another medication that

helps?

I can't take any medications that cause weight gain.

I think Nu vigil is causing this, but I don't want to stop taking it because it

is allowing me

to stay awake enough to be able to see my kids and leave my bed to go out of

the house.

I'm already taking Prozac and Desipraimine (sp?)

Also wondering if the Tramadol might be interacting with the Nuvigil.

My son takes risperedone (sp?); however that makes him eat like crazy and super

tired.

Hi Lori

Please see your doctor immediatly. I personally would stop taking anything that

causes

paranoia. This choice is up to you.

I looked up Nuvigil at Drugs.com and several possible adverse reactions are:

aggression, agitation, anxiety, depression, exaggerated sense of well-being,

hallucinations,

irritability, nervousness.

So your problems could be either the Prozac (SSRI), Nuvigil (a stimulant),

Desipramine

( tricyclic antidepressant (TCA), or a combination of all threemedications could

be causing your problem.

Having lived through the suicidal ideation and later two attempts from first

tricyclic anti-depressants

(Surmontil, and then Sinequan). Prozac, an SSRI, a different type of

anti-depressant sent me over the

edge within a week.

It took a long time to diagnose my bipolar disorder and panic disorder.

Anti-seizure medications,

especially Lamical have worked like a miracle.

I don't know why your son is taking risperadone an anti-psychotic medication,

but

it seems that most psych medications can lead to weight gain.

One again, paranoia is a very dangerous side effect. Please, please see your

doctor immediately.
