I am on fentanyl the patch but find my stomach is still torn up from the

years of nsaids and other oral meds. I have been prescribed omezaprole but

I don't think its working well. Any suggestions?

I just received a plethora of meds from my different providers which include

my PCP, pain doc (who is a pharmacist 1st) then my psych doc. I know I am

lucky that my disability is service connected to the Army so I don't pay for

it, however I also feel like they think we have less say or rights. I wanted

to see if anyone else thought this way.

After 26 years serving myself, fifteen as a military spouse, and fifteen as

military brat, I believe our rights or what we have to say are more structured

and for a mission that needs to be supported .

The structure is very important so that lives are protected.

Prescription omeprazole is used alone or with other medications to treat

gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which backward flow of

acid from the stomach causes heartburn and possible injury of the esophagus (the

tube between the throat and stomach). Prescription omeprazole is used to treat

the symptoms of GERD, allow the esophagus to heal, and prevent further damage to

the esophagus.

Prescription omeprazole is also used to treat conditions in which the stomach

produces too much acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Prescription

omeprazole is also used to treat ulcers (sores in the lining of the stomach or

intestine) and it is also used with other medications to treat and prevent the

return of ulcers caused by a certain type of bacteria (H. pylori).

Nonprescription (over-the-counter) omeprazole is used to treat frequent

heartburn (heartburn that occurs at least 2 or more days

a week). Omeprazole is in a class of medications called proton-pump inhibitors.

It works by decreasing the amount of acid made in the stomach.

Your diet might need a change and get tested for H Pylori as it is treated with

antibiotics and omeprazole is not an antibiotic and causes the same type of

pain. If you have nausea, Zofran has been great for me. Bennie *Omezaprole

healed my Dad's esophageal ulceritis as it looked like chopped meat on the

endoscope and three weeks later healed. He is taking it for years now.
