Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) (www.phfi.org) a public private

partnership is looking out for Program Officers (Targeted Interventions,

Capacity Building and Communications) for operationalising a large HIV/AIDS

project funded by an international donor

Position: Program Officer, HIV/AIDS

Placement: PHFI Office, New Delhi

Period: 3 years

General Profile

Masters degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Public Health, Economics,

Management

Minimum 5-7 years of experience (technical, program planning, management and

implementation) working on HIV/AIDS (Targeted Interventions, Social Franchising,

STI management, Capacity Building, and Communications).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English, Hindi )

Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently

Excellent inter-personal skills and presentation skills

Willingness to undertake project travel.

Adequate knowledge and strong commitment to HIV/AIDS

Responsibilities

Coordination with donor agency

Coordination with stakeholders including implementing partners.

Identify capacity building needs and organize for training of stakeholders.

Monitor and evaluate program activities

Conduct regular review meeting for the state level networks

Coordination with SACS and project state consortium partners

Submit periodic reports to the donor agency

Liaise regularly with all related bodies, organizations, internal and external

agencies and any other governmental or non-governmental authorities to develop a

good working relationship and ensure the smooth running of the project.

Travel to project sites for periodic monitoring

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be negotiable and be based

on competency, experience and salary history.
