Guest guest
Dear , and all the rest of us... Yes, there truly are dysmorphic features in many, many folks with mito. Even those who are not diagnosed. Our first so. Cal. mito support group visit was so absolutely wonderful... yet broke off a tiny piece of my heart. I went home and looked at pictures of Staci's birthmom, aunt, and grandma, plus remembered the pictures of her great grandma and great aunts....Oooooooooh shit. 2 years later, Staci's birthmom was officially diagnosed. No lab tests or anything necessary. One meeting w/ Dr. Boles, family history, his already knowing her daughter, Staci.... " Partial Complex I " . Mito doesn't have as easily recognizable/ well publicized look as does Down Syndrome... Would that we got the publicity and research $$ Down's does. Our time is coming. Love, working on talking into getting another set of luggage for the trip....
