Guest guest
I got this from Connett, the anti-fluoride college professor/activist. I posted here awhile ago about sulfuryl fluoride - it's a food warehouse fumigant that leaves incredible amounts of ionic fluoride residue on foods - a tablespoon of powdered eggs has the equivalent amount of fluroide as the amount used to brush one's teeth, which has a warning that if you swallow that amount you should call poison control! ------------------ We hope you will sign on to the statement (deadline 5 pm today!) being sent to Obama's transition team by Beyond Pesticides and the Pesticide Action Network (PAN). This statement includes a section (see below) that should concern anyone fighting fluoride exposure. It is calling for a halt to the use of sulfuryl fluoride as a fumigant on food in warehouses, mills and processing plants. This fumigant is leaving fluoride residues on hundreds of foodstuffs. FAN has spent the last 7 years appealing its use and exposing the totally bogus science used by the EPA to justify the food tolerances it is allowing. If President-elect Obama meant what he said when he indicated he wanted honest science back into government this would be a great place to start. -- To sign the petition the link below -- Scroll down to bottom and add your name etc. in the box. -- If you have a degree, please include it. Suggested Comment: I support the recommendation for EPA to Issue a stay, or immediate suspension, of all food-uses of sulfuryl fluoride pending a full evidentiary hearing. Please do this before 5 pm today. Pass this message along to as many people as you can reach. And send us a short email to us simply saying " I have added my name, " so we can keep track of the numbers. Many, many thanks.
