Guest guest
Welcome from another lurker! I have been in severe pain for several years because of severe osteo-arthritis. Two weeks ago, I began hydrotherapy. The therapist is also a shiatsu practitioner, and as part of the therapy, she does something called Jahala (I think that's what she called it). Basically I lean back on her while she pulls my body through the water and focuses on pressure points. I have to say that this 15 minutes is the only time in three years or more that I have not been in severe pain. This therapist also offers a full hour of this therapy. I am considering doing that, too. I don't know yet if this will carry over to when I am not in the water, but it is a great relief. Yael > wrote: > My name is and I am new to the group. Guest guest
Hello Yael, Thanks for piping up. I am also a reader, but your post about Jahala intrigued me. I have a friend who has fibro and nothing has helped her more. I live in the DC area and I haven't found anyone yet who practices it here. The only time I'm not in pain is sometimes when I'm in water, so it makes sense to me. Can you tell me where you found this sort of treatment and who practices it where you live? Thanks!
