Guest guest
Do you have a shower chair that has a seat on the outside of the tub and allows you to scoot into the tub? Life alert necklaces can be worn in the shower. I'm only 47. After 3 falls, I invested Ellen Connected by DROID on Verizon Wireless Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy, Help please I have a question, every time I get into my tub I fall and my PN is really hurting I am not sure what to do. Guest guest
Well, first you need to get some hand rails installed so you can step in and out of the tub safely. Till then, wash off using the sink. If you rent you may need a doctor's note saying you need safety rails, then the landlord will have to install them for you. Are you taking any prescription medication for your neuropathy? Jennette >a wrote: >I have a question, every time I get into my tub I fall and my PN is really hurting I am not sure what to do. My shower head has a long extension on it so I can move it around to different parts of my body. My tub and shower stall also has a attached bar I could hold until I get out and I put my walker outside the tub locked so I could sit in it or you could put a sturdy chair beside the tub to sit in and use as a brace when you get outl This website has some bath transfer benches, you could check if your insurance would pay for those. http://www.southwestmedical.com/category/Bath-Transfer-Benches/342 Hope that helps. Let us know what you find. Bennie
