Guest guest
Dear all, I know we've discussed immune system probably to death here, but I still have one more question. My 8 months old is sick second time this month. Last time he got sick, then I got sick, then my husband. Not long after that the baby is sick again and I'm sick too and my husband is starting to get sore throat. I'm being told by some people that it's normal for babies to be sick that often, but I think that's an absurd. But I just can't figure out what am I doing wrong????? He is home-born with no drugs, no vax, exclusively breastfed, we started solid at 6.5 month - mostly fruits and veggies, some kefir, egg yolk etc but his main food is still breastmilk. I try to eat mostly NT with occasional slip-ups (nobody is perfect), raw milk, chicken and bone broths, garlic, kefir, take fish oils and CLO, vitamins, extra vitamin C, drink a ton of fluids and take Bio-Kult (4-6 a day, sometimes more). And I'm sick second time this months! It's the craziest thing - I never get sick!!!! Can it be that breastfeeding is putting a strain on my immune system??? Do I have to choose between being healthy and nourishment for my baby. But if I'm sick, I'm sure I'm not producing good enough milk anyway. Well, I know it's better then formula, but I'm starting to doubt myself. I really don't know. What am I doing wrong???? Thanks, Elena
