Guest guest
ANyone who has dogs should see Cesar's stuff. I don't agree with all his methods but if you have a dog you need to work with them so that they aren't dangerous to you. I have three dogs, two are service dogs and were trained using clickers. It's a really positive training method but my dogs go out in public with me everywhere and do things for me like pickingup stuff I drop. THey are really great but it took some work to get them that way. A well behaved dog is a joy to be with. Guest guest
My mother is in love with Cesar. She watches his shows all the time and loves practicing with my 10 yr old kelpie/shepherd mix, Cali. Although Cali is a very well tempered and well behaved dog (she gets along perfectly with our 8 yr old cat). I try to walk with her as much as possible and we take turns on the treadmill on days I can't walk her. She is my baby (besides my kids of course) and she knows I always come home with something for her, especially if I go to Petsmart without her. Guest guest
The treadmill has been an amazing tool with my Lab. He was an overamped puppy when I got him and it takes the edge off on the days that he can't get enough exercise. One of the things with having a service dog, or any dog, is figuring out how to keep the energy down and get them enough exercise. When you don't feel good, the dog still needs to play. Treadmills are a good way to do that. " Chuck It, " which throws a tennis ball is good too and cheap. But exercise and who will do it when you can't is a big consideration when you get a dog. Guest guest
I watch Cesar as well. I have the halti collar and we have tried doing what he does and it works. I need to work on getting a clicker for them and treats like he uses. I also watch It's me or the dog. Granada
Guest guest
Another option is a small dog and piddle pads. Our Maltese are piddle-pad-trained. A Maltese can get plenty of exercise in the house, but can still be walked outside or you can use a doggy stroller. Of course, you have a lot of grooming which may or may not be a good thing. It is relaxing to brush them if you keep it up. Pekingese are notorious for not needing a lot of exercise, but the grooming is difficult. You can always take them to a groomer. Of course, there are other toy breeds that don't require much grooming. And, I will probably get in trouble for saying this, toys can get away with a lot more so don't require quite as much training! Not destruction or biting... I mean jumping up and general orneriness. I just cannot imagine a life without dogs! No matter how yucky I feel, if I see those little faces looking at me, I am always able to pick somebody up or head for the cookie jar. I will get up to take care of them when I won't take care of myself! Sent from 's iPad

Guest guest
Kaylene, I love watching the videos on his sites and I am not trying to sell his products but he has a foundation that he grants for behavior training and other issues. He has a line at Petco, and the products to clean up pee pee smell is great and smells like Lemon Grass. I do like him and I believe we as humans do convey our stress. Most Rescuers, I know they are in our group, like halters. I can't get mine to wear them but you can damage your dogs (especially small dogs) trachea by jerking on their leash or them pulling on them. The retractable one I used one time got stuck when I was letting him out of the car and it was not enough he got jerked against his trachea. He harked after that but got better but I make sure I do not have those. Bennie
