Hi --

Okay, you brought up some points in your e-mail.

(1) How to get CP out of the Milky Way molds

You can use a silicon candle spray as a releasant or you can do what I

do, freeze the CP solid, heat it up quickly with a heat gun or hair dryer

and bang those little guys until they come out. Generally, yelling helps as

does hopping up and down.

(2) What does soda ash look like?

It looks like small pieces of white dust, or ash (as in volcanic ash) on

the top of your soap. It can be scraped off with a knife, spoon or whatever

you wish. Often, keeping your soap covered up longer (saran wrap on top of

your mold) will help to cut down on the soda ash.

(3) Teeny teeny white speckles?

I don't know what this could be -- I've seen soap with the speckles

inside and I " ve used it and not had a problem. However, you may want to

invest in some pH strips (Majestic Mountain Sage sells them) so you can test

the pH of your soaps and not rely solely on your tongue.

(4) Is there supposed to be scent left on the hands?

Sometimes there will be but other times no. With MP, I do notice a scent

staying on the body but not so much with CP. You need remember that soap

cleans by laying a small " oil slick " on the skin, the dirt floats to the top

of the " oil slick " and then the slick is washed off (it's a bit more

technical than this but basically like that), so if any excess oils are left

on the skin, yes, you'll be able to smell them. But, if they are all washed

off, no, probably not.

I think that was all the questions you had -- good luck with your future

batches =)
