Guest guest
I was reading a study in EatFatLoseFat file archive over in the WAPF2008 conference from discussingNT. It mentioned in the study that two of the three groups consumed 15% protein, 65% carbohydrate, and 5% carbs. Where is the other 15%? Was that an error or was that the lauric acid fat they had those two groups take? How much pottasium is safe and natural to consume from whole foods? Especially for an athlete? Can I get enough iodine and iodide from from kelp and dulse? How much kelp and dulse would I need to consume a day? I guess Iodoral has the amount you would want but I'd rather get it from food. Thank you, Holt
Guest guest
Kelp has around 1000% of the rda per culinary serving. I take frontier co-op organic kelp powder http://www.frontiercoop.com/isearch.php?s=kelp+powder#info One teaspoon of kelp has tons of iodine- up to 4 mg; I take that much because I've been breastfeeding for almost 6 years straight now, and had a node on my thyroid. Dulse has much less iodine but a nice flavor. My kids have a special jar and sprinkle it on whatever they like. I also put kelp powder in lots of edibles for them. Guest guest
I can't source it but I read notes that it's fine for males to have about that much if not more as long as you have iodide with it.
