Guest guest
Just saw this interesting article about how humans, as the super-predators on this planet, are causing rapid evolution in many wild animals that we hunt and fish: http://www.livescience.com/animals/090112-super-predators.html " Hunting and fishing by individual sportsmen as well as large-scale commercial fishing are also outpacing other human influences, such as pollution, in effects on the animal kingdom. The changes are dramatic and may put the survival of some species in question. " " By harvesting vast numbers and targeting large, reproductively mature individuals, human predation is quickly reshaping wild populations, leaving smaller individuals to reproduce at ever-earlier ages. " We typically hunt the largest animals and this has a tendency to reduce the animal size over time and favor earlier reproduction ages. Other wild predators don't typically seek the largest prey.
