Isn't it ridiculous that the doctors don't just include the cost of the

drug test they insist on in the price of an office visit? If they had to

pay for the test (instead if making $$$), they'd rarely test.

Insurance doesn't pay for the drug test because it simply isn't medically

necessary.

Luckily for those of us on Medicaid, we aren't responsible for the cost of

any non-covered services, unless we specifically agree to it in writing

(the doctor's office has to tell you ahead of time that a service is not

covered). That financial policy you sign when you are first seen at any

office is not enough to make you pay. Unfortunately, some offices don't

know about or ignore this rule, but I assure you that this rule is in place

across the entire US.

Anyway, I'm sorry that the doctor treated you so poorly and rudely. I can't

believe what a jerk that doctor has been.

Please keep us updated on your progress with Prialt. I am very interested on

effectiveness and side effects that you are experiencing with this therapy.

Bumper, I'm also interested in this drug. My doctor has discussed this with me

and I'm a little scared of the symptoms. I am waiting to hear from Bill on how

he is doing on this drug. Has your doctor talked to you about trying this

medication? If I remember Bill's doctor took him off all his pain meds before

starting Prialt. I wonder why.

I asked Bill but he has not yet answered. Or because I'm new I can't find the

answer. But I see my doctor next week and am not going to try it until I have

more information.

Could you let me know what you find out.
