I received my very 1st coccyx block on the 4th of November and I have been

miserable since the procedure was done. The doctor who did it was

methodical and very detailed in her work making sure I did receive some

anesthesia in the cocktail injection.

However she had to go to the bottom of my tail bone the up underneath it! I

thought my right leg would pop off with all the pressure of

the injection filling into my caudal space. Out of all the blocks and other

procedures I have ever had (injection wise) this was the WORST!

I felt like all of a sudden I couldn't quite control my bowel movements and when

the pain killer wore off I felt like I'd been kicked in my tail bone by a horse.

I had to sleep with a small bottle of frozen Gatorade placed in between my

bottom cheeks just to fall asleep, it was not pleasant. that is the last time I

ever do the coccyx injection again. I feel

it's made me feel worse on top of all the other things I deal with.
