I'm new and have a question about probiotics//Thanks, Kay

I want to thank everybody who took the time to write about probiotics, I welcome

every bit of information that I can get. I have saved all all the posts, and

will follow up on all of them.

 

Actually, in answer to one person, I have been taking Flagyl for the C

Difficile. Will retest soon for the C-difficile. It was a combo of Z-pack for

pneumonia, An antibiotic that starts with an A,  for diverticulitis, a name I

can't think of right now, Cipro, in the hospital, and then the flagyl for the

C-diff. It's messed me up pretty bad.

 

I have been reading up on the probiotics. There is at least one that went bazerk

in the body and created a near death experience,  it caused an infection in the

heart called endocarditis and I'm not even sure if that person died. It was  one

of the probiotics, I'd have to look it up to remember which one it is. Has

anybody heard of this sort of thing? The strong probiotics seem to be dangerous

according to the write up. Any thoughts on this?
