I am so sorry to hear that, it is so complicated. If your diabetes is barely controlled by a pill, then perhaps you need a different pill, or insulin. Does the pain in your your legs burn, and feel numb? That could easily be diabetic neuropathy. My husband has that in his feet, but thankfully it comes and goes. I had a similar gall bladder problem about 15 years ago, it was a stricture that was caused by multiple infections. It was a very simply outpatient laparoscopic surgery to have the gall bladder removed. The first three days were the most painful, but after that it was okay. After 5 years of intermittent diarrhea I was very happy to have the surgery. It took about a year for that to completely resolve. Anyway, enough about me, welcome to our terrific group. Guest guest
After you said you were diabetic I would say you are having peripheral neuropathy. Often due to poor control of the glucose. Do you often have high readings? Are you testing often with a glucometer? It may be time to switch to insulin. When you get your blood glucose in the normal range the neuropathy should go away. In the meantime it's generally treated with neurontin, (gabapentin). Jennette > wrote: >I am new here and have chronic pain. I am 29 yrs old and have 3 kids. Guest guest
Thank you for your response and my life growing up sounds so much like yours if I typed it you would think I copied your post. my mom was never home I cared for my 3 younger siblings as soon as they where born. i was about 8 ish. I also had leg pain back then but docs and mom wrote it off as growing pains. it stopped for awhile and came back bad 3 yrs ago. I just found out I am having a hysterectomy. I go on the 17th for the pre-op appt. and will get a date then. I have so many medical issues I am so nervous. I am still waiting for appt with neurologist for the brain swelling issue.
