It can be overlooked very easily if they don't do the right tests. It is an autoimmune disease and and inflammatory illness. Your body's immune system literally attacks your intestines. Cyrilla, is right and Crohn's disease is sometimes misdiagnosed as Irritable Bowel Disease IBD. The treatment plans are different .Also know that if you have resection of diseased area with Crohn's it can spread to the other side and not go through colon in normal route. It is a ulcerative disease of the colon that needs to be treated and I hope you are on a treatment plan. The main complaint with Chron's is diarrhea. Guest guest
Thank you all. I have had IBS all my life but was mostly constipated. In September of last year I had to go cold turkey off 12 medications, I lost my insurance and my doctor was running from Medicare fraud so all my records are lost. I could not pay for more tests with another clinic with no insurance. We thought the tremendous diahhrea was a result of that. However it has remained for 23 months. Unable to stand at the stove and cook has left well nourished meals by the wayside, Unable to qualify for any food programs and unable to go shopping leaves too many prepackaged and sweets available which is the wrong thing for me. I used to live on fruits and vegetables and salads and now have to refrain from all of it! Hopefully Fridays blood work will shed some light for my doctor and me!
