Things are going lovely, I'm enjoying being a Mom even more than I

thought I would (and I thought I'd really enjoy it).

Sam is developing fantastically well - she rolls back to front since

the beginning of this month and she just started doing full push ups

this week. She tries to crawl, but she only gets as far as tucking

her legs under her before she splats. She gets around quite well

wiggling and rolling though! She's grasping very well, she picks up

and manipulates toys with both hands. She even carries things with

her for diaper changes (and if she happens to drop one I can lower her

down and tell her to pick it up and she does!). I'm really having a

ball watching her bloom.

I've been trying to simplify her diapering system with some AIOs - the

wool covers are great, but they all tend to get poopy and need washing

at the same time which is a bummer. Not so sure I'm liking PUL

though, I put her in a homemade PUL AIO yesterday and got instant

diaper rash!

And of course I'm going neurotic trying to avoid plastic and all its

shortcomings - thought I had her set with a few cloth books and other

cloth items only to find out one of the fabric textures used in one of

her books tested positive for lead - DOH! I'm dreading Christmas and

all the phthalate-rich plastic being offloaded by manufacturers for

cheap before the new laws come into effect. *sigh*
