Guest guest
The Aquasana Shower Filter works well. from the site- Installs in seconds and provides naturally healthy water for showering. Reduces chlorine and harmful VOCs and enhances pH balance for the healthiest, most refreshing shower ever! Comes complete with a patented 2-stage filter cartridge that will last 6 months and the deluxe " Niagara " adjustable pressure shower head. The shower head's unique design prevents any pressure loss. The Aquasana shower filter system uses an innovative dual-filter process. Stage 1 reduces chlorine and enhances pH balance with a natural copper/zinc mineral media called KDF-55D. Stage 2 uses a carbonized coconut shell media for the reduction of synthetic chemicals and VOCs. Sub-micron filtration. Best Performance Guaranteed! Anyone who has ever swam in a chlorinated pool knows how chlorine robs moisture from skin and hair. What most people don't realize is that there is typically as much, or more, chlorine in your tap water as in most pools. Chlorine strips the natural protective oils from skin and hair, causing excess dryness. Without the harsh influences of chlorine, you`ll notice significant cosmetic benefits... Softer skin & hair in a week or your money back! Your shower water will feel better, and be better for you. Aquasana promises great benefits for asthma and allergy sufferers due to the reduction of harmful chlorine vapors. By reducing chlorine and other chemicals found in tap water, you eliminate health risks related to inhalation and skin absorption of these chemicals. Such inhalation and/or skin absorption is known to be a significant source of exposure to harmful VOCs and a leading cause of asthma and other respiratory problems. http://www.aquasanastore.com/aq-shower-filter.html sherie > > Does anyone know of a shower filter that does remove the chlorine? > Most dont remove all. Guest guest
Hmm, this product from EnerGel claims to " significantly reduce " fluoride in shower water, but not to eliminate it. It is $140 and replacement filters cost $58. http://www.energelproducts.com/shower-heads.html Anyone used it? On a related topic, I have been using a countertop reverse osmosis filter for a few days. It is extremely slow, but it does work without any electricity. It attaches to your faucet rather than the cold water pipe under your sink. Here are some competing products from EnerGel that I wish I had known about before buying http://www.energelproducts.com/countertop.html > > > > > > Does anyone know of a shower filter that does remove the chlorine? > > > Most dont remove all. Guest guest
It's probably not the " best " filter out there? But I settled on it since it is affordable for me. Around $40. I get a new one once a year and have enjoyed it. This way I can have one in my shower and in the kids shower as well. It makes such a difference in my skin and hair!! http://greensplus.com/product_info.php/cPath/84_22_45/products_id/61 Regards, Deb in NC http://www.freewebs.com/debrahoran
