near-miraculous pain relief for me

Hi All,

I have found something that, for me, has turned into a near-miraculous pain

relieving source. It is heat!!

Right before Thanksgiving, I bought THREE heating pads: a king-size regular

one, an around-the-neck-and-shoulders one that has a magnet clasp to hold

it in front, and one for the back that has a strap to go around the

chest/abdomen to hold it in place.

The king-size one has 3 heat settings, the neck and shoulders one has 4

heat settings, and the back one has 5 heat settings. They all come with a

2-hour auto-off feature (so I can go to sleep with them on, and I won't get

burned!!).

In case heat helps anyone else (which I'm sure it does, although I realize

that heat probably does not help everyone) and you are interested in buying

the special ones, you can probably find them at your local pharmacy. I got

all of mine at Walgreen's, so if you have a Walgreen's where you live, you

can almost certainly find them there. You may also be able to find them at

CVS, Rite Aid, or whatever other major pharmacy is close to you. If you

don't have a major pharmacy close to you, then you can almost certainly

purchase them online.

The brand of the king-size heating pad is the Walgreen's store-brand. The

brand of the neck and shoulders one is Sunbeam. I am pretty sure that the

back one is also Sunbeam brand, but I am not sure.

The main thing that I love about the latter two, which relates to a post I

made a few months ago, is that I can wear them while sitting up at my

computer desk (which I do a lot because I am a student), and they stay in

place.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share this because I thought other people might

benefit from knowing about these if you don't already. I hope that by

sharing, then I can help at least one other person on the list.

Thanks,

e.h.
