Guest guest
I had my meeting with the " injections Pain Management doctor " Tuesday and he agreed to do the lumbar sympathetic block. YEAH me. Not 100% relief but about 80% right now. I'll TAKE it. And it tends to stack. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I have an appointment Feb 7 with the Psychologist for the first step in the Spinal Stim. If I pass (and they think I will), then I should have my test with in a week. THAT is scaring the crap out of me. I'll be home a week with LEADS coming out of my spine and an external unit. It terrifies me. I have dogs and cats, and we're going to HAVE to lock them out of the room for that week, and they will be heartbroken. Then, if it's a success, within 2 weeks, I " ll go in for the implantation. Six to eight weeks recovery is scary, as is the possibility that the RSD will be made worse. My daughter will be coming in every day to care for me, and while most of the dogs will remain with me (the big girl who is 75 pounds and just a puppy, will go stay with Sissie)but I'll have a walk through gate up to keep them out of my bedroom. the cats, that's another story and I'd appreciate any thoughts on that. ly, I'm scared. I'll probably be in the hospital overnight, due to the fact that I live over an hour away from the surgeon. And I have to get three new sets of King size sheets to keep the bed as sterile as possible. The aftermath of the surgery scared the poo out of me, so any information is welcomed.
