Guest guest
*****I think you gave a clue to part of the problem here. Perhaps it has nothing to do with food and everything to do with CONTROL. My children wanted to feed themselves at around this age. It's a terrible mess much of the time, and you can't tell how much they have eaten, but more food will enter a baby who is allowed to CONTROL her own intake. (just make sure the enzyme beads are in the sweetened applesauce, fruit yogurt, or whatever you KNOW will get eaten. ~I have found that a can of cake frosting kept in the fridge for a spoonful with each meal is handy during this transition time. Just mix those little beads into the spoonful of frosting, smear it on a spoon, and lay it in a spot just within reach of the child. It's fantastic " bait " for toddlers.) GOOD LUCK! ~ \As soon as she sees the spoon coming towards her \mouth, she closes her lips tighly and shakes her head \about so that I don't stand the faintest chance of \even getting near her mouth (ofcourse the Creon also \gets evenly re-distributed on the floor, the couch \and me)She does this before she even tastes the food, \so it can't be that she doesn't like it. I end up \forcing food down her throat between screams, which \inevitably results in her choking and gagging and \screaming more. ===== ********************************************** Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me... just leave me alone. ********************************************** __________________________________________________
