Guest guest
Just saw this article suggesting that cold sores are a big risk factor in Alzheimer's disease: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7770680.stm " Professor Ruth Itzhaki and colleagues found DNA evidence of the herpes simplex virus (HSV) type 1 in 90% of plaques in Alzheimer's disease patients' brains. " All the more reason for those with cold sores to optimize their vitamin D intake, which supports immune function, and to minimize sugar and polyunsaturated fat, which decrease immune function.
