Guest guest
Hello every one. I have been gone for almost 2 years now. Here is my update for everyone. The chronic pain I have is RSD caused from an open tib/fib fracture in 2000. The RSD has gone from my lower right leg to my hip. I have a pump, it was installed Aug of 09. My pump is serving Diladid, Clonidine and Bupivacaine combination. In the last 2 months I have been coming off Fentynal patches 300mcg/hr every 48 hours, 300 a month of 35 mg morphine sulphate pills, to nothing now. I have never been so sick. I have lost 25 pounds in the last 2 months. The doctor is taking me off the fentynal and morphine and is to start Prialt in my pump within the next month or two. My pain level is up to a constant 8-9 every day. I just got the doctor to increase the pump 10%, but was about a waste of time. Sometimes I think he is testing me to see if I really hurt or not. Right now it feels like the bone in my right leg is 500 deg. and I can't get it cooled off. I have sat in a cold tub, ice packs every thing. tomarrow it will feel like some hit me with a sledge hammer in the leg.I was first diagnosed at the Mayo clinic in 2002, the University of Michigan 6 months later. At home we just adopted our 10 year old granddaughter; we have had her with us since she was 2 months old. We just managed to get her mother to sign off. It was given to her as an option to sign off or do some more jail time for not paying support. She still has to pay back support for the last 8 years. I don't think we will ever see it. And now also we have her 5 year old sister as a foster child. The state took her mother's (our 28 year old daughter) rights away. So now within the next 6 months we will be able to adopt the 5 year old. sorry about the rambling on. I wish every one a pain free day Bill/Mi
