" As long as I have my husband, life is worth living. He is my lifesaver. "

I think that is why my life with pain is such a struggle. I lost

my lifesaver. Five years later I continue to miss him.

Like every American, I think back on this day and remember that it

was my husband who came to my classroom and told me about what had happened on

9/11. He ran the television studio for my school so had seen the news first. He

was very calm but wanted me to know.

I think back and know that I did not say thank you enough to him.

For those of you who still have your spouse, please don't forget to say that. I

hope that you are never faced with my loss but if so, you must find some reason

to continue on.

I look at the photos of my 3 kids and even though I don't see them often because

of distance and my pain, they have become my reason to make the struggle.
