Any ideas if it's possible to talk my doctor into rewriting them? I don't have a regular pain contract that says she won't but since I've never had a problem before I am at a loss ass to what to do. Guest guest
I lost my prescription for Xanax one time. My doctor refilled it. He had never had a problem with me before. This is something we just can't go around losing scripts for opiods or Xanax-type meds. That can cause BIG trouble. Take Care, Sioux
Guest guest
I feel for you. Losing or having my prescription stolen before I fill it or even having it happen to my medication is my worse nightmare. I do not believe that I would be able to get a replace if I was in that situation. States may have restrictions on replacing controlled medications before the 30 days is up. Can you take a different medication? Perhaps your doctor would consider giving you another medication. Even if it is not as strong, it would be better than not having anything for pain. I agree with making a police report. Let us know how you make out. Gentle hugs, Tami > Carolyn Eddy " Sweet Goat Mama " wrote: >I just lost my wallet with my monthly RX's in it. Guest guest
In the future, ask them to e-prescribe or fax all prescriptions (except CIIs) directly to your pharmacy, that way they can't get lost. The DEA allows e-prescribing of ALL prescriptions, including CIIs, but few doctors have the capability. Once doctors get setup for e-prescribing of controlled substances, lost prescriptions will be a thing of the past. Personally, I can't wait for my doctor to get setup for it, since, currently, CIIs require a paper scripts. Steve M in PA
Guest guest
((((((((((Carolyn))))))))))))))) So glad to hear that you were able to work things out and get your medication!! Huge hugs, Tami > > I made a police report and then went to the doctor. She says her clinic policy to do replace them one time and never again. So I just used up my only " get out of jail free " card and better be really careful from now on. But I'm not a person who loses things so I hope I will be OK from here on out. > > Carolyn Eddy > " Sweet Goat Mama " >

This takes up so much of my time I would rather have my paper documentation and research reflects the software has some prpblems. I hope that it changes and I hope I can get to where I get appointments every three months. Bennie *This issue has been fought since 2006 and states can over ride it.
