OT- Birthday UPDATE

I tried, I really tried to make this a good birthday, but it turned

out to be FAR worse than I EVER could have imagined. I'm not going to

go into most of the details because I simply can't bring myself to do

it. I spent most of it alone and outside of this group, no happy

birthday, no cake. My wife went to this big dinner without me, but

that's okay, she started a huge fight before she left (it's amazing

how the ones we love know how to hurt us so well, especially

emotionally). On top of the hell that my birthday itself was, I got a

call back from my PCP's " nurse " that told me that he (my " doctor " )

isn't " comfortable " prescribing methadone, despite the fact that my

pain management doctor is recommending the exact dosing and he (PCP)

told me he would prescribe it if the pain management doctor made an

official recommendation. Also, pain has been a 10/10 since I woke up.

Thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes, encouragement, kind

words, etcetera. Without it, I wouldn't be writing this email. Sorry

to be so " down "

PS I'm [relatively] okay now, so please don't worry.

PPS Brain Tumor grew more in the last three months than the six months

prior. In the last 3 months, the cerebral aqueduct has become more

obstructed. It went from 7.8mm to 6.3mm. At this rate, it will be

fully obstructed in a little over a year. I'll let you guys know what

my neurosurgeon says, but I doubt he'll have much to say, he never

does.

My birthday was a bit of a bust also. I learned that they ended my long term

disability early and cut my check in half. I haven't gotten my documents to get

my benefits here, yet. I am living with a cousin. And my shrink didn't call.

I had every penny figured out and now I have no insurance.

Needless to say, I have contacted an ERICA attorney who is a Vampire.
