Guest guest
Dysphagia-trouble swallowing and Schatzki rings- narrowing of the esophagus I am hoping someone knows something about this. My brother was diagnosed w/ both and has had 2 surgeries to stretch out his esophagus. He is scheduled to have it stretched again in Feb. It is so awful to watch him experience this. My SIL told me that the other day he had a 4 hour episode. Anyway, the Docs of course havent talked about what causes this and I am wondering why this is happening to him. Let me tell you all that his diet is close to awful except for the raw goats milk and grass fed beef that he recently added to his diet. This is what his diet consists of: red bull, white bread, zero veggies and close to zero fruits, lots of microwaving, soda(not so much now)raw goat milk, bacon, meats, pasta, eggs and maybe a few other things. He and his family are changing their diets but he's just in the way beginning. I know diet can affect our health and well being in so many ways but do you think it can cause these problems? Hopefully someone can help w/ my ?s. Thank you. Debbie from LI, Ny
