Guest guest Posted March 16, 2008 Report Share Posted March 16, 2008 University of South Florida's Program in Adolescent HIV/AIDS Research Training (AIRTP)announces Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research Methods. As part of the AIDS International Training and Research Program, investigators at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL and Vadodara Medical College, along with Indu Research Foundation, Vadodara and Vedanta Institute of Medical Sciences, Ahmedabad, have created a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research Methods, which is open to health care professionals from India who wish to strengthen their clinical research skills in the area of Adolescent HIV/AIDS. Students will complete courses in Clinical Research Methods, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Approach to Clinical and Behavioral Research in Adolescents: Focus on HIV. All courses will be online. The courses will include a variety of educational formats including pre-recorded lecture, live online discussion sessions and message boards. Minimum admission requirements for Indian AITRP students: Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0, and completion of one year of biology and one year of chemistry are required.The program is open to health professionals and students (physician, nurse, public health practitioner, physical therapist, pharmacist or pharmacologist, dentist, etc.). Tuition and fees: Tuition costs will be covered for Indian students accepted into the AITRP program. Standard graduate tuition rates and fees apply for students who are not accepted into the AITRP program but who wish to complete the certificate program through USF.
