Why not just buy the butter oil/CLO blend?

I would not heat these oils at all. No reason to blend them if you want to

take them both but don't want to buy the blend. Just take them at the same

time.

because I understand it is cheaper to buy them separate (tight budget--it took

me 3 years of NT before deciding to buy this BO). I would like the convenience

of a blend though. Maybe I can pour the CLO & hard BO in my Vitamix and blend it

that way, without heating any of it. Good idea???

Thanks again,

Tamara

That might also help with the shelf life of the fermented cod liver oil because

the saturated fat in butter oil helps protect from oxidation. You may also be

able to buy the raw fermented cod liver oil for cheaper. This is conveniant

because instead of paying more for the antioxidant to help with the shelf life

of fclo you can use the saturated fat from butter oil instead. I'll E-mail

greenpastures about this. If you decide to ask them let the group know the

answer.

hello

dave here...Green Pastures

i'll try to answer your questions here. if i miss one of your questions please

post again.

1. the fermented clo does have more saturate fats than industrialized clo.

plus it has not been heated so it is much more difficult for oxidation to take

place. no broken bonds from heat to accelerate the process.

2. we will have a new blended bo/fclo product out by may. it will be 2/3 fclo

and 1/3 bo. and it will be a thicker, gel like product. until then we do have

the current blended product on sale. under therapeutic category.

3. there will be another bo/fclo product introduced. i will add 10% liquamin.

the liquamin will be similar to the Romans used. it will be rich in water

soluble nutrients such as biotin, carnatine ect...

4. fclo gummy fish will also be introduced. plus other new flavors discussed

and taste tested at the wapf conference this past november

hope this helps.

Hi Dave,

Would mixing the raw fclo with the bo into a bigger container increase the shelf

life of the fclo? Being that they both compliment eachother's antioxidants....

I personally will be mixing it and taking a half tspn of fclo and a half tspn of

bo together. Would it increase the shelf life of the regular fclo to mix it in

a container of bo?

I had an interesting idea....fermented centrifuged butter oil. Or fermenting

the bo and the clo together. They both work synergistically together so they

may have more potent growth if they are fermented together.

How much A, D, and K2 is contained in a 1/2tspn of bo?

Just FYI, I actually ended up blending these together...one bottle of BO and one

bottle of CLO. I put it in a wide mouth jar, and in the fridge. Not only is it

much easier to dispense from because of the jar, but also because it is softer

at fridge temps.

I will DEFINITELY continue to do this in the future; it is SO much easier.
