Guest guest
My favorite juicer recipes are: apples/carrots/beets Apples/celery with some yogurt and walnut oil (like a waldorf salad) cucumber, tomato, hint of garlic, cilantro (fresh), sweet onion, lemon juice and hot pepper (optional). If she's having a rough time, rejuvelac is a good thing to try (google it), as is wheatgrass - she doesn't need a grass juicer she can just chew the juice out. Also switchel - apple cider vinegar, honey, and fresh grated ginger diluted with water to taste. Very refreshing and healing! The Master Cleanse lemonade is good, too - fresh squeezed lemon juice, grade 'B' maple syrup (more minerals), and cayenne - diluted with water to taste. I hate cleaning my juicer so I've been moving away from using it much. And don't forget the juice of raw sauerkraut or kimchi - 1/4 to 1/2 cup a day is a remedy for all kinds of things in the places where they ate it. > > ....especially including mostly lower oxalate foods would be helpful. She is in a lot of pain and depressed so anti-inflammatory veggies that are also low oxalate would be great, if any exist. But whatever recipe you have is ok. Thanks. Guest guest
--- Thanks. I'll have to google wheatgrass; trying to get her to go wheat free though. Do you know anything that can replace the beets (as it's high oxalate)? Guest guest
Leave them out. It's still good. Beets are in there because of the betaine, which is a great detoxer, but she could take that as a supplement, even. I don't know if wheatgrass would bother someone who is avoiding gluten, I think that's mainly in the grain as an energy storage mechanism, and the grass should be safe. The rejuvelac would probably be out then, tho. - or not, this site says the gluten is converted to amino acids during sprouting http://www.ukjuicers.com/knowledge/wheatgrass > > > > > > ....especially including mostly lower oxalate foods would be helpful. Guest guest
--- Thanks. btw my friend googled wheatgrass for me and said there is no gluten in it. (Don't anyone count on it though but verify, as I will too myself.) God bless. Kathy In , " haecklers " <haecklers@...> wrote: > > Leave them out. It's still good.
