Guest guest
Hi. Wondering if anyone knows of tests I can ask for to get to the root of my kidney pain and symptoms. My kidney ultrasound came back normal a couple weeks ago in spite of kidney pain (especially on right side), urine showing pus, blood, infection; urinary spasms, strong smelling urine, incontinance; salty skin; strong breath; ankle, face, body swelling; itching, skin rash; worsening fatigue. My urologist and pcp doctor said a course of Macrobid fixed all and this is just fibro, ME, etc. Is there a test I can request that will assure my kidneys are functioning? Is a kidney ultra sound sufficient? I'm also experiencing nausea. My pcp told me the chest pressure and shortness of breath was nothing because my chest xray and ekg were normal. When I went to my Infectious disease doctor after that, he did a holter monitor and found tachacardia (sp?) and put me on atenelol, which has helped. But my pcp just blew it off and didn't care. I'm trying to understand how to get health concerns addressed. Thanks, Lori
