Dear Anne,

There is a very effective narcotic skin patch that is Rx by the square

inch. It can be used on its own or added with another form of pain med.

Can't remember the name of it... been a long time since I was a home health

RN PHN.

Learned A LOT in inservices by the hospice nurses.

Relief is in sight!

I don't know if this is what you are referring to but for inpatients we used

the skin patch of fentanyl for pain control in cancer patients and it worked

great. Hope this rings a bell. If not, I would just call your local

pharmacist, preferably an inpatient one and ask for recommendations.
